This was a good tourney with nice studies, good judge’s work and a deserved winner.
Another way to deploy the white king in the foreplan by attacking a black rook and then switchback to the main plan is shown in this famous miniature:

Fist, the wR defends the pawn 3.Rc7+, then the king attacks the rook 4.Kf2, the wR switches back 5.Rc6 and the main plan 6. Re6 works. A very nice mechanism to remove a white (king) obstacle.

I really like the first prize. The unusual tactic from the game is embedded into an interesting choice problem about whether the wK should approach the rook on the b- or on the d-file. Clear lines, attractive domination themes, unexpected stalemate counterplay which White has to foresee, and symmetric material.
